This section will contain a few of the many great sounds of Dick Dale. Hopefully, in the future, it will also contain some audio and video streams. So stay tuned as this will be updated frequently.
- Miserlou. First released in May of 1962, Miserlou soon reached #1 on KFWB in Hollywood. At the end of that year Dick included it on his Surfer's Choice LP.
Rhythm. While recording the updated version of his 1962 classic Miserlou for Mom II: Music For Our Mother Ocean, Dick explained that he invented his guitar style based on the adrenaline of surfing and approached the guitar as a percussion instrument. Many of his classic guitar riffs were written first with his mouth.
